The second Kerrera Kids Bike Event will take place from 11.15am on Saturday 15th October 2022.

Due to limted places available, please note that registration for the event is now closed.

The event will take place just 5 mins up the hill from the ferry, in the Balliemore Farm fields across from our community venue at the Old School.  Lunch/ refreshments will be available for all (soup/sandwiches and drinks provided) and a prize giving ceremony will take place around 2.30pm/3pm.

There will be 3 bike courses:
- a balance bike course and cycling games for younger kids (look out for the giant skittles!)
- a Blue Course for Juniors/Improvers (suggested age up to 12 years)
- a Black Course for confident riders (suggested age 10 years +) this course (longer than last year) will have some jumps and steep down hills.

Black group riders will also be welcome to test their endurance on the Blue course. Please complete a form for each child wishing to enter. Following registration and bike safety check next to the Old School (5 mins walk uphill from the ferry) there will be time for some practice runs of the courses. This will be followed by the time trials - entrants can complete several runs and pick their best time. There will be a prize giving ceremony around 2.30pm. After this, there will be optional group social rides to the north and south of the island.

*Food and Drink*
Soup and sandwiches from the Kerrera Tea Garden, along with tea, coffee, water, juice and refreshments will be available in the Old School through the day (donations based).

*KIDS BIKE CRAFTS*
Come enjoy bike themed drop-in craft workshops for all ages (11.30am - 2.30pm) in the Old School, facilitated by talented local artist Renuka Ramanujam.

*FAMILY BIKE RIDES*
After the prizegiving, there will be options to join group rides south to Gylen Castle or on the new road north up to Ardentrive Farm/Kerrera Marina.  Find the selfie stations and some tasty treasure!

We will need volunteer marshals around the course - please get in touch if you can help with this.
